Early-spring view from the Indian Seats rock outcrop: grey granite boulders frame the bottom, a pine leans in at left, and below spreads a patchwork of bare winter woods, green pastures, a small farm pond and scattered homes and subdivisions toward the Blue Ridge silhouette on the horizon under a pale overcast sky. A small plastic water bottle sits on the rock at lower centre-left.
