Forsyth County schools: how enrollment and school zones work

The short answer

Forsyth County Schools is one district for the whole county, with more than 55,300 students. Which schools serve a home depends on its address, and attendance lines can change, so check the district's School Locator Map for the exact address. New students register centrally at the Student Registration Center, not at a school. The 2026-27 school year ends May 27, 2027.

This page explains how the district works for a family moving in. It does not rate or rank schools, and it does not describe areas by school. For an address, the district’s own map is the only answer that counts.
